Since before August 2020 and still , many discuss America's involvement in Afghanistan as the USA retreated from Afghanistan, together with its allies. Certain people voice happiness as the USA seems to be defeated and they hope the USA may collapse, just as the Soviet Union did not long after it retreated from Afghanistan, and as many other empires did before in that troubled country. For the world, I hope the USA is not defeated as a power as we still need it (without saying the USA never made mistakes such as support of dictators). Publications condemn the West for having left Afghanistan and even suggest the Russians were not as bad as Western policies. I do agree we should have help Afghans who helped the West during the occupation as these people are now at the mercy of the Taliban. Israel's PM Netanyahu, in religious terminology one of the " devils" on this planet. He faces corruption charges but refuses to face justice. And thus on 20/04/2020 he reached a deal with his opponent Mr Gantz to form a new Israeli government so the corruption charges are postponed . But already observers feared the Palestinians will suffer greatly as President Trump's peace deal may be implemented that allows the annexation of large areas of the Palestinian territory, something the Palestinians can't accept. Liberation of Auschwitz signaled end of WWII This year, and certainly this week, humanity remembers the end of one of the many terrible moments in Europe's history, i.e. the liberation of Auschwitz and many other but similar places where millions of humans were tortured and killed simply for who they were, including Jews , other religious people, Gypsies , LGBTs as well as people who are considered to be left because they defended human rights and thus solidarity although for a short time Stalin's communism and Nazism seemed to join forces . Someone from an American intelligence agency says these organisations are partly to blame for the rise in white supremacy , i.e. the conviction that your skin colour makes you better than others, because they allowed it to grow into what it became today. Indeed, even ordinary people such as me who did a short investigation understood that certain posts were too extreme to allow in a healthy democracy although these posts allows you to understand people's concerns and who thinks in a certain way.
