The Roman Catholic Church struggles to do good even when it tries, as it remains trapped in outdated worldviews that even the Pope cannot change within the institution he leads. Pope Francis himself appears unable to fully overcome these entrenched beliefs. Pope Francis I recently visited Belgium to improve relations and reconnect with a Church that has lost many followers over the past few decades, partly due to the widespread sexual abuse of children by priests, which was then covered up by Church authorities to protect its reputation. The legacy of conservative Pope John Paul II , consistently praising "traditional families" but condemning LGBTQ individuals who are part of families, preaching against contraception and abortion while allowing the Church to conceal abuses, still lingers today by many. FB 10/09/2024 - Israel's policies: a global punishment for crimes committed by others When Israeli policies would be used in Europe: as example Brussels where terrorists from Molenbeek killed people in Paris and Brussels. A solution when security agencies suspect something would be to bomb the building in which the terrorists may live, and among the dead may be the terrorists while the innocents deserved their horror as they should not have lived in the same building as those terrorists. Recently also in Sudan a hospital was bombed, what can be done in one place can also be done elsewhere. It is unbelievable how the Palestinians continue to endure their horrors. Indeed, we are now heading towards 50,000 dead Palestinians, about half of them children. Over the past decades, they were removed from their lands, and many killed, because a people believe it is their land after 2,000 years absence.
