President Trump and the EU USA President Trump doesn't want to join  and so the USA looses credibility. That's noted. Indeed, we know since three years that he is angry with how the USA always needs to finance organisations such as the NATO and the UN and its subdivisions. He's angry with the trade deficit of the USA versus China and angry when he is ridiculed for trying to reverse this. Brexit and the EU and possible troubled future relationship Simon Jenkins is reasoning that PM Johnson may have to give in to the EU as he thinks that the UK's fishing industry depends on the EU to survive. However, EU consumers will be angry when fish becomes scares and expensive after EU fishers are no longer allowed to fish in British waters; indeed, the UK's own fish export may even increase. Or the UK may export its fish to the rest of the world. Similar to other farming exports such as lam of which a large part is exported to the EU. Mr Frans Timmermans, executive vice-president of the European Commission, wrote a letter which he calls a love letter as a response to the UK that may be leaving the EU soon, the so-called Brexit. In his letter he tells the British that they are more than welcome to return may they decide to do so. Of course, after Brexit is completed, the British can return if they wish. But, I think, first Brexit has to be completed and the sooner the better so relations can return to normal and the UK may consider to rejoin. Or not. I agree with US President Trump when he condemns Europe and approves sanctions against companies for Europe's gas deal with Russia as we become indeed too dependent from Russia. Two main reasons why I think this is a bad deal: climate change and Russia's bad influence in the world that needs funding. But, I also understand it is against the USA's fossil fuel trade with Europe. Wrong energy Europe, always telling others they need to take climate change serious because it will be bad for (Europe's) economy while it seems Europe doesn't mind poor regions remain poor. A  the Guardian article that hopes British will unite behind Labour to stop Brexit. First, I think that will not heal society and second, I think the article doesn't do an effort to convince Brexiters it is better to stay inside the EU while instead it confirms the EU is bad. Brexiters spread lies while remainers should not confirm them or the EU remains the bad one and a next referendum is again lost. But, I think the opposite can have the same result. European countries NATO contribution On Saturday I heard the start of a radio discussion. It was about the US that agreed after WWII to look after Europe's security (and founded the NATO whereby the UK as co-founder was the second largest contributor after the USA). But, already short after the end of WWII the USA complained that Europe contributed too little financially towards its own protection while it was one of the main critics of the USA's policies. Unfortunately but true what's written in this article . There are certain elements in society who want the failure of the EU. One of them is the religious right in America such as the Tea Party who think the EU is evil while they don't understand the evil in their own thinking. And these elements sicken society as they repeat again and again their own truth in their own media and social media. PM May's plan to allow immigration based on skills and wealth was to be expected . After the two golden decades that started under PM Major and continued under PM Blair, the decline continues. Under these two PMs, people from poorer areas were stimulated to follow higher education and to achieve this major investments were done in education in general, including new schools. Also major investments at universities resulted in collaborations with overseas universities, many foreigners (including from poorer countries) moving to the UK and top research. Also free healthcare via the NHS whereby major investments resulted in good equipped (new) hospitals, good healthcare professionals and reduced waiting times. PM Cameron, many called him a fool during the Scottish referendum because they don't understand him as they feared he may cause the split of the UK but 'No' won while many fear he may move the UK out the EU because of the referendum he promised the people. Yet, from a party-political view, he is a master in politics who managed to win an overall majority after 5 years in government with austerity as a central part of his policies while almost completely destroyed many of his opponents.
