(12z) Don't blame animals for the climate crisis

Image
In today's society, many people comment how animals are a main contributor to climate change. However, we should stop blaming animals for the production of too much methane as they are victims because of the industrialised meat industry and habitat loss due to human activities, and thus the resulting climate change. Animals release methane, but are not responsible for climate change As usual, nowadays many people in comments under articles about climate change accuse animals that they produce too much methane and, although animals release methane (a potent greenhouse gas), humans are mainly to blame as we pack animals together so locally animals produce high levels of methane. Therefore, we should condemn the practice of today's meat industry, an industry whereby animals are considered to be things that are locked up with too many animals in cages that are too small so animals can't move. Therefore, they are given antibiotics to prevent they become ill and thus to prev

(12y) Huge cost in lives - Still, many continue to deny reality

Huge cost in lives It is estimated that almost a billion (to visualise this: 1,000,000,000) animals died during Australia's bushfires that are still raging and some say trillions (1,000,000,000,000) may die. Elsewhere thousands of camels are shot because they become a pest as even these animals, although specifically adapted to live in desert conditions where water is scares, find it hard to survive Australia's major drought and thus they compete with humans for water in this huge country with only about 25 million humans. Also last year animals were shot , including wild horses, because it was too dry and thus these are mercy killings. Still, it is hard to deny the situation in Australia is exceptional. Similar in California , Brazil and other places where it stopped raining and fires burned while elsewhere it rains too much , both leading to death and destruction. Many of these events happen as climate change scientists prophesied . However, many powerful people still

A summary of the period from Saturday, 21/12/2019 till Monday, 06/01/2020. It concerns huge Australian fires due to climate change and growing influence of religions and their wars. Some comments were already published on Facebook, others are modified and some are new, certainly those from the last days. Here a short summary, further down in reversed order comments to events. Australia's PM gave a religious speech before going on holiday but was forced to return early as Australians became furious he enjoyed life while large groups of Australians suffered. Although Europe asks other countries to invest in renewables, it continues to invest money in gas so it becomes even more dependent from Russia. Australia continues to defend its coal industry. While the change in the climate and its consequences cost society fortunes, Everywhere there are battles not only between but also within religions. And although certain leaders still think the future lays in the past, scientists
