Unemployment further decreases in Flanders

I just heard that for the past years unemployment decreased in Flanders (and probably in Belgium). Congratulations for the politicians who achieved this.

The result is that it becomes more difficult to find sufficient employees with the right qualifications for all the work that needs to be done. Still, politicians continue to lobby industries to convince them to invest more in Flanders (Belgium). And thus,
- either the migration is God's gift and not a crisis as we can educate and employ those migrants so work can be done here;
- or we should consider a controlled implantation of new companies (without old industries moving to cheaper regions) such as in eastern Europe so there too are more well paid jobs. The result is that fewer East-Europeans move to West Europe for jobs while here an abundance of companies is avoided and with it shortages in employees but also a standstill of traffic and with it the possibility that companies move to less populated areas with fewer traffic problems. For this the EU should be the ideal partner to help in the search for good locations within Europe. Of course, new companies may still come. Further, European companies should have satellites elsewhere such as in Africa, Asia and (Latin) America, not to produce cheap products to sell expensive in Europe but to sell at local markets, whether these are in Europe, Africa, Asia or Latin America so everywhere people can buy products.

I prefer the second than even more migrants that result in increased tensions with locals. Of course, even then some people will migrate to other regions but in contrast to today when many are forced to migrate to find work and to buy what is not available on their own markets, fewer will migrate as they can have jobs locally but also buy the products that are made locally. I believe this will also reduce regional wars and thus migration that are often the result of shortage in well paid jobs but also because people want to buy the things they produce, something not always possible today.

Note on traffic jams
Further and to reduce traffic, people need to live more in cities and closer to work. Of course, a good public transport is needed or people still need to use their cars. But, this also has a positive secondary impact, i.e. on nature when more space becomes available when fewer houses are built in the countryside.
